Barry P. Goldberg grew up in the Woodland Hills/Tarzana area and attended the University of California at Los Angeles, obtaining the degree of Bachelor of Arts, with a major in Political Science. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School Los Angeles in 1984 and was licensed to practice in California that same year. Mr. Goldberg was admitted to practice in all the courts in California, including all federal district courts and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Recently, Mr. Goldberg was admitted to the United States Supreme Court Bar and has appeared before a packed Supreme Court to sponsor a fellow lawyer and move his admission.
Mr. Goldberg has successfully handled numerous trials, hundreds of arbitrations and mediations, and argued matters before the California Court of Appeal and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. In addition, Mr. Goldberg has acted as a volunteer mediator and CRASH settlement officer for the Los Angeles Superior Courts. Mr. Goldberg is a tenacious negotiator and brings this skill to the mediation context.
Since establishing his Woodland Hills personal injury practice, Mr. Goldberg has dedicated himself to personal injury litigation and trial work with a unique emphasis on insurance coverage. He has obtained millions of dollars for his injured clients from brain injury and spinal injuries to broken bones and whiplash.  After working for 17 years in a personal injury practice with his brother, Lawrence Goldberg, in Beverly Hills, Mr. Goldberg founded Barry P. Goldberg, A Professional Law Corporation in 2005. That practice has been devoted to “fighting and winning” for the injured consumer and has garnered a reputation among defense counsel, insurance companies, and in professional circles as a “high end” personal injury firm that gets great results for its clients. Mr. Goldberg trademarked the phrase “The Injury Law Professionals,” which accurately characterizes his unique blend of expertise, client care and professional approach to injury law.

Mr. Goldberg is unlike most personal injury attorneys. He keeps abreast of important legal trends by reading and digesting the daily Court of Appeal decisions concerning tort and insurance issues. After 35 years of consistent practice, Mr. Goldberg has garnered many awards, including a SuperLawyer designation for the past 10 years. In 2021, Mr. Goldberg was further honored by SuperLawyers making the prestigious “Top 100” list in Southern California. This year Mr. Goldberg is proud to announce that he has again been included in the list of Southern California “SuperLawyers” for the 10th year in a row. This is a distinction reserved for about 5% of practicing attorneys. The selection process is involved and Mr. Goldberg’s accomplishments and credentials were approved by a Blue Ribbon qualification committee. In 2021, Mr. Goldberg was further honored by SuperLawyers making the prestigious “Top 100” list in Southern California. Mr. Goldberg has also received a “10″ rating—Superb— from AVVO, as well as a “Top Contributor” designation!

Personal Profile

Mr. Goldberg is a “returning” trombone player and can be seen around town with the swing band “Seniors of Note,” the “Groovin’ Easy Swing Band,” and the Moorpark College Jazz Ensemble. Recently, Mr. Goldberg is a charter member of Los Angeles’ Official Lawyers Jazz Ensemble; “Big Band of Barristers.” The Barristers have appeared at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel for the Beverly Hills Bar Association and at the Los Angeles Biltmore for the Southern California Defense Counsel Association. In addition to appearing at the Shrine Auditorium, the Big Band of Barristers was voted the Best Lawyer Band in the American Bar Association’s “Battle of the Bands” competition. Barry added the Los Angeles Lawyers Philharmonic to his list and has performed at the Walt Disney Hall 8 times. Barry P. Goldberg resides in Calabasas, very close to Woodland Hills, with his family and, most notably his daughters, Samantha and Julia—a matter of minutes from his offices in Warner Center, Woodland Hills. He and his family are active and well known in the community. Mr. Goldberg has played a leading role in youth soccer as a coach, volunteer, referee and Board Member in charge of legal affairs for the West Valley Soccer League and its competitive club component, Real So Cal Soccer Club. In addition, Mr. Goldberg was a founding Board Member of the Calabasas Cheetahs Track Club and could be heard on weekends as the announcer “voice of the Cheetahs.” Both Samantha and Julia are great athletes and have been active in soccer, track and cross-country. Samantha graduated USC as a Trustee Scholar and works for Salesforce. Julia graduated from San Diego State with honors and is pursuing a career in tech and charitable organizations. She plans to start a Masters program in 2022 and was already accepted to USC with an academic scholarship. Mr. Goldberg is an active business networker is a major force in the San Fernando Valley Bar Association. He was elected to the Executive Board as treasurer. Then, Secretary and President Elect. Barry was the president of SFVBA in 2020. He is a proud member of the Consumer Attorneys of Los Angeles.
