Barry P. Goldberg, A Professional Law Corporation has been fighting for the rights of those injured in auto accidents for many years. We understand all too well the consequences that negligence on the road can cause for a victim physically, financially, and emotionally, and have dedicated our lives to fighting tirelessly to defend the legal rights of those negatively affected by auto accidents.
We also understand and value the many other people and professions that help to prevent and right the wrongs caused by auto accidents. Be it improved safety manufacturing, helping people at the scene of accidents, and/or helping people to try to recover physically and emotionally from accidents, etc., we encourage all of this important work that is done to help others.
To this end, Barry P. Goldberg has created our firm’s Auto Safety Scholarship, designed to help support the education of an outstanding student who is committed to promoting auto and road safety and/or to helping auto accident victims and their families.
Examples of potential candidates include but are not limited to those pursuing careers in:
- Auto designers
- Engineers and manufacturers
- Civil engineers
- Law enforcement officers
- Doctors, nurses, and therapists
- Lawyers who defend the rights of auto accident victims
- Politicians and lobbyists, etc.
Eligibility Criteria
This scholarship is open to any student who is currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate, graduate, or professional program in the United States. This includes accredited community college students as well as high school seniors and students who possess a GED and who have been accepted to or are enrolled in an accredited program.
The scholarship applicant must be able to demonstrate their commitment to trying to make our roads and autos safer and/or to helping people whose lives have been negatively affected by unsafe drivers, autos, and roads.
All eligible candidates must be in good academic standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 or above
Essay
Answer the following questions in an essay of 1,000 words or less:
- What was the pivotal moment that most inspired you to pursue an education and career that will help improve the safety of our roadways?
- What career (or activism) goals do you have to try to make our roads a safer place?
- In what ways will these goals help future drivers and passengers travel more safely?
